Road To Living Whole, LLC is the place where my team and I offer corporate wellness solutions, one-on-one coaching, teach workshops and webinars, provide meal plans, offer online courses, and share recipes and health information to help you and yours live healthy and happy.
Along with Road To Living Whole, I have co-authored the book, The Dish: A Real Life Guide For Eating With Autoimmune Disease and am the creator and host of the Youtube cooking show, Thrive Gluten Free.
My Path To Becoming Your Health Coach
My journey started with an insatiable curiosity for finding out exactly how food interacts with our bodies. I started reading books by doctors, fitness trainers, and scientists. I have also tried the most popular eating movements including eating Clean, Vegetarian, Vegan, Raw Vegan, Paleo, and Traditional (Weston A. Price). Through my research and living out each dietary lifestyle, I came to realize that everyone is different and honoring bio-individuality is essential. I found I loved guiding my clients in finding what way of eating makes them feel their absolute best, teaching how to understand and honor what their body is communicating to them, all while learning how to nourish their mind and soul.
Food Restrictions And Autoimmune Disease
As I started my education at IIN, my dad was found to have an autoimmune disease and my mom discovered she has non-celiac gluten sensitivity. I also discovered my corn allergy and my daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease. Autoimmune disease and food sensitivities became front and center in my life. I learned from the experts in these fields, researched, attended seminars and summits, and partnered up with local Naturopathic Doctors.
Autoimmune disease and food allergies are my expertise. In living out this journey I know how challenging it is to change your entire lifestyle including what to buy and cook, how to dine out, travel, and then the long journey to healing the body, balancing hormones and reducing inflammation. Through my education, research, and personal experience I have found all the tips and tricks to making the journey simple, delicious and helping you THRIVE. I am excited to share them all with you! I want to support you in your journey on the quick path to thriving and living vibrantly on a healthy, nourishing lifestyle.
How we develop our recipes
You will find our recipes tend to use few ingredients and rarely anything weird or something you’ll only use once. I, Marian, use to be a truly horrible cook, but over the years I’ve gone from following recipes to a T to developing my own. I found myself frustrated with recipes requiring 20 ingredients or more, and things I only used once then went bad before I could use them again. One time I bought ingredients for insanely delicious whoopie cookies but the recipe cost me $40!! I also hated that when I followed the recipes, they came out bland. I LOVE flavor and believe the food we eat should nourish the soul as much as the body. That requires flavor.
You will find that the recipes we share are simple, use affordable and available ingredients. We only use ingredients you will find used over and over again. As a visual learner, Marian makes videos for other visual learners to show you how to make and use the less mainstream ingredients, (like spaghetti squash and coconut flour) making getting into the kitchen fun again.
