Feeling Exhausted? Here’s What Could Be Going Wrong

Feeling Exhausted? Here's What Could Be Going Wrong

May 10, 2019 //  by Marian Mitchell//  Leave a Comment

Do you constantly find it’s a struggle to get out of bed in the morning? Perhaps you feel drained and completely put out before the day even comes to an end. If so, you should consider what is causing this and what you can do to fix it.

Your Diet

It is possible that your issue with fatigue is caused by a problem in your diet. The classic example of this would be drinking coffee. When you drink coffee, it does impact the receptors in your brain. This means that it stops the brain producing the chemicals that provide the energy you need to get up in the morning. Instead, you’ll be reliant on that steaming cup of coffee to help you rise from your slumber. This is the basic principle of all types of dependency. If you do think you are suffering from a dependency that is causing you to feel drained, consider using a resource such as Lake Wellness Center. They’ll help you find your feet.

Your Sleeping Pattern

It’s quite possible that your sleeping pattern could be the issue and you might even be suffering from a condition commonly known as sleep apnea. Sleep apnea is a condition that causes the throat to close up while you are asleep. This can trigger heavy snoring and also cause you to stop breathing for a minute or two. It can be fixed through surgery but you’ll need to find out whether this is the cause of your issue first.

Your Work Life

Feeling Exhausted? Here's What Could Be Going WrongIt is possible that you feel exhausted because work is dragging you down. A lot of people find they have this issue where they are not happy with their job. Job satisfaction has commonly been seen to be tied to whether or not you feel happy or miserable. This can also have a significant impact on your energy levels. Once again, it can be enough to question whether you want to get out of bed in the morning or even start the day. If you think work is the issue, consider making a professional change. We spend about 30% of our life at work, so you do need to make sure that you are enjoying this time.

Your Mental Health

Are you depressed? Depression my depression treatment is a recognized medical condition that a patient will typically be diagnosed with if they have been feeling sad for an extended period. This could last for a few days, a few weeks, or a few months. Depression can also be recurring and come back multiple times in a fixed period. One of the most common and clearest signs of depression is certainly fatigue. People who are depressed will often struggle to find the energy to get out of bed in the morning and start the day. They may even stay in bed for hours on end, missing work, school and other life commitments. If you think you might be depressed, it’s certainly worth speaking to a cognitive therapist or even a doctor to find the root of the issue.

We hope this helps you tackle the potential root causes of your fatigue and get back on track.
