Canteloupe Dream Smoothie

This smoothie recipe was recommended to me by my local neighborhood market. I have had a couple not so tasty experiences trying melons in smoothies before. However, I decided to go ahead and try again. I am SO glad I did! This smoothie is delicious, refreshing and a great way to start the morning.

Great color right? Would never know it was full of green goodness.

Yields 1 quart

  • 1/2 cantaloupe, no skin or seeds, cubed
  • 1 4.5 oz container fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 serving collagen peptides
  • 1 cup of ice (about 10 cubes)
  • water as needed

Since this was a great experience, I can’t wait to try other recipes! I believe the key is no added water and possibly other fruit being frozen. Next up…watermelon!
