Non-traditional Ways Of Easing Body Pain

Non-traditional Ways Of Easing Body Pain

September 7, 2022 //  by Marian Mitchell//  Leave a Comment

Aching muscles, stiff joints, neck pain, and lower back pain are just a few forms of body pain everyone experiences daily. There are several reasons why you may be experiencing aching muscles. This may be due to over-exercising, your posture, tension and stress, and fatigue. No matter the cause, dealing with aching muscles can make being productive through the day challenging. Fortunately, you alleviate your pain and get back to being yourself again! However, what happens when you have tried several common treatments to no avail? You try not-so-common ones! With that said, here are some non-traditional ways of easing body pain.

Use hemp

The subject of hemp or Cannabinoids (CBD) is one that is still being researched. Due to this, there’s always new information being discovered. Recent studies have found that CBD can go a long way to helping relieve body pains. The body produces endocannabinoids, which are neurotransmitters that bind with CBD receptors. When these chemicals bond, scientists believe that this causes a reduction in inflammation, causing pain relief. Therefore, you should consider massaging your pain area with hemp oil or hemp salve. This would help you ease the pain you’re experiencing.

Consume some ginger

Ginger has been known to contain antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties, giving it the reputation of being a natural painkiller. Several studies have found that ginger can be used to treat and alleviate pain. You can consume ginger by boiling it to make a healing cup of ginger tea.

Make turmeric tea

In addition to ginger, you can also consider consuming turmeric. For centuries, turmeric has been known to be a great pain reliever. This is because this spice contains analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties known to decrease swelling. A great way to enjoy the healing effects of turmeric is by making tea. All you need to do is add a teaspoon of turmeric powder to your regular cup of tea. You can also add a teaspoon of the spice to a glass of warm milk and honey.

Go for acupuncture

Acupuncture has received a mixture of responses over the years. The thought of having pins pierced into your skin to aid in healing sounds a bit misleading. However, several studies have shown this ancient Chinese medical practice. During an acupuncture session, needles are pierced into the “acupoints” of the body. According to experts, this process causes a release of endorphins and serotonin (feel-good hormones), which causes relief in pain. Therefore, the next time you feel intense body pain, you should consider booking an acupuncture appointment.

Meditate

Mediation is known to be a way of practicing wellness. Additionally, this activity can also help you find relief from your body pain. This is because accepting the pain and discomfort you experience can help you become increasingly tolerant of it. When you are in a relaxed state of mind, your body easily releases endorphins, which help relieve the pain.

Although various treatments, such as medication and various creams, can help you treat body pains, they may not be the preferred option by many. In that case, these alternative treatment options are a few you should consider.
