Summer is in full swing here in Phoenix. We reached 111 this week! If you’ve been following me at all, you know that I am a huge promoter of green smoothies. I even have a formula for the best taste and texture that will have you craving them anytime, morning, noon or night. This smoothie is low calorie, low sugar with a wonderful tart flavor of berries and absolutely delicious.
This beauty is:
- 1 cup coconut water
- 2 oz frozen blackberries
- 2 oz frozen raspberries
- 6 frozen strawberries
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 2 Collard Greens, stalks removed
Collard greens are similar to baby spinach in flavor. Sweet and mild. A great addition for those new to adding greens into your smoothies and diet. They are also a great source of bone building calcium. Score!
