Caprese with Avocado (Dairy Free Recipe)

  • 2 heirloom tomatoes
  • 2 haas avocados
  • a few leaves fresh basil
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • balsamic vinegar
  • salt to taste


  • Get a large platter ready to place ingredients on.
  • Cut tomatoes into 1/2 in slices and lay on your platter.
  • Peel skin off of your avocados and cut into 1/2 inch slices. PLace on top of your tomatoes.
  • Sprinkle with salt.
  • Drizzle all of the tomatoes and avocados with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
  • Use 1/2-1 basil leaf per caprese, using scissors cut into thin slices and let fall on top of your avocados.
  • Serve and enjoy!
